Where do you shoot Brant around here? My dad runs a lodge in Cold Bay Alaska and we have every west coast Brant sitting in our village of 70 people early in the season, I think over 175k brant all eating seaweed out there.  Too Bad thing is there is a 2 per day limit.....good thing we can shoot 8 ducks, 6 geese and 20 ptarmigan to go along with our 2 Brant. If any of you every wanted to try to hunt/fish Alaska let me know. Sept you can get good hunting along with all the salmon/halibut you can reel.  http://www.bayviewcoldbay.com/index.htm

Great job!  Haven't hunted brant for several years.  My grandfather use to belong to what they called "The Brant Club"!  Lots of good memmories hunting Samish Bay.  Anyone hunt them along the coast?  I see there is a season for them there as well.

Your Grandfather must of been a true gentleman then. I miss those days. Hopefully they'll come back again
